Hazrat Sheikh Mohi-ud-Din Abdul Qadir of Jilan,better known as Ghaus-al-Azam (R.A),is the granson of Hazrat Abdullah al-Hambali. The mother of Khwaja Gharib Nawaz (R.A) sahib-Bibi Mah Nur is the grand-daughter of Hazrat Abdullah al -Hambali. The fathers of the two are real brothers. Thus,the mother of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty (R.A) is a cousin of Hazrat Ghaus Pak (R.A). This goes to point out that Hazrat Ghaus Pak (R.A) is a maternal uncle of khwaja Gharib Nawaz (R.A).
The two are very closely related to each other. Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty & Hazrat Ghaus Pak (R.A) are maternal consanguine brothers.
Another relationship established between the two is that Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty (R.A) is a maternal uncle of Hazrat Ghaus Pak (R.A), for the mother of Hazrat Ghaus Pak (R.A) is a sister of the mother of Khwaja Gharib Nawaz (R.A) on the maternal side,whereas she is sister on the paternal side.
